MAGGY AGUIRRE – Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Maggie found her passion in art watching her architect dad work on projects with vibrant colors and her mother work with vibrant stained glass.

Watching her father excel in his profession while overcoming daltonism or protanopia – a color-blindness condition resulting from insensitivity to red light, causing confusion of greens, reds, and yellows – gave Maggy the curiosity to discover real colors and their strength in order to fully understand and appreciate them. “I pretend to evoke the simplicity of life, the intensity that it could reach and the multiple options of achieving such a goal ….for me painting has been like taking a trip to another world where my thoughts and feelings are the very essence of my heart and my soul…”
